Roffey Wins on Debut in Movember Dega250!
The Australian NASCAR eSeries community united for a powerful cause during the Movember Dega 250, an annual charity race dedicated to supporting men’s health and raising awareness for issues such as mental health, suicide prevention, and prostate and testicular cancer. This year’s event was a standout success—both on and off the virtual track.
Representing the team were Craig Roffey, Kelvin Clark, and Chris Bleakley, each racing not only for results, but for a meaningful cause.
Strong Team Performances
The team delivered one of its best collective outings to end the year, highlighted by a stunning debut victory:
Craig Roffey – 1st Place (Debut Race)
In his very first outing for the team, Craig put on a masterclass in patience and racecraft. Navigating the chaos of Talladega with precision, he controlled the closing laps and crossed the line as the race winner. An exceptional way to make a debut and a defining moment for the event.Chris Bleakley – 5th Place
Chris backed up the team’s momentum with a strong and consistent drive inside the lead pack. Avoiding multiple incidents and managing his run strategically, he secured a top-five finish, contributing significantly to the team’s overall presence at the front.Kelvin Clark – 11th Place
Kelvin delivered a determined and steady performance, bringing the car home just outside the top ten in 11th place. His resilience through the pack and clean execution ensured all three team entries finished strongly.
Racing for a Cause
Beyond the on-track achievements, the Movember Dega 250 achieved its most important goal—raising funds for men in need.
The event has so far raised $1,245 and counting, a testament to the generosity of the sim racing community and supporters who rallied around the cause.
A Successful Night for Charity and Competition
The Movember Dega 250 showcased everything great about the Australian NASCAR eSeries: close racing, community spirit, and a commitment to helping others. With a race win, three solid finishes, and over a thousand dollars raised, the night was a resounding success on every front.
