2026 iRacing Daytona 24 Hour
ONENINE Racing took on one of sim racing’s most demanding events, the iRacing Daytona 24 Hour at Daytona International Speedway’s road course, competing in the ultra-competitive LMP2 class.
The event marked a major milestone for the team — their first-ever attempt in LMP2 prototypes and their fourth Daytona 24 campaign overall. Even more impressive, the team earned a place in Split 2, putting them up against some of the strongest fields in the event.
The driver lineup featured Matt Stewart, Brayden Sagasser, Chris Bleakley, and Lachlan Purvis, combining endurance experience with the challenge of mastering a new class.
🌙 A Strong Debut in LMP2
From the green flag, ONENINE Racing showed composure and maturity in their first LMP2 outing. The focus was on consistency, clean stints, and smart traffic management through the always-busy multi-class field.
Each driver delivered disciplined runs behind the wheel, adapting quickly to the speed, braking performance, and traffic demands unique to prototype racing. As the race transitioned from daylight into the night hours, the team continued to build confidence and maintain a competitive presence in their split.
⚠️ Race-Ending Incident
Endurance racing can change in an instant — and unfortunately, it did for ONENINE Racing.
Around the 8-hour mark, the team was caught in a multi-car incident that was not of their making. With significant damage sustained, the LMP2 machine could not be repaired within a timeframe that would allow a meaningful return to competition, forcing the team to retire from the race.
While the results sheet won’t reflect the team’s performance and progress, their pace and discipline up to that point showed they belonged in the fight.
💪 Experience Gained, Eyes Forward
Despite the early end, the event was a major step forward for ONENINE Racing. Debuting in LMP2 at Daytona — and doing so in Split 2 — is a significant achievement and a clear sign of the team’s growth in endurance competition.
Now four Daytona 24 attempts into their journey, ONENINE Racing continues to build experience, speed, and resilience. The lessons learned in this year’s race will fuel their return — stronger, smarter, and ready to go the distance next time.
